BAE Systems Regional Aircraft is introducing a liquid crystal display flightdeck upgrade for the older analogue-instrument equipped BAe 146s. Italian carrier Air Dolomiti and Germany's Eurowings are the first customers for the upgrade, with certification expected late this year and installations beginning in 2006. A life-extension programme has also been developed to enable the four-engined jet to continue operations for at least 20 more years. Meanwhile, the company has also concluded a sale/lease back deal for 23 of SN Brussels Airlines' 26 Avro RJ85/100s.
