BAE Systems has begun engine runs on the prototype Avro RJX, ahead of a planned first flight next month. Test runs of the Honeywell AS977 engines installed under the wing of the development RJX-85 G-ORJX began on 18 March, at the BAE plant in Woodford near Manchester. Taxi trials and first flight are due in April.
