The Bedek Aviation Group of Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) ended the first year of the millennium on a high note, with total sales of $480 million and expectations of up to $520 million this year. The company describes the results as remarkable, and the future looks equally bright with new contracts in 2000 reaching $737 million. Contracts worth $769 million are expected for 2001.Work in 2000 included 10 widebody conversions, maintenance of 130 aircraft, overhaul of 510 engines and overhaul/repair of more then 50,000 components accessories.
