The Bedek division of Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) has teamed up with Iberia to form Aerohandling, offering ground services at Tel-Aviv's Ben-Gurion international airport. Iberia will provide check-in and aircraft cleaning services, while Bedek will offer line maintenance.
Four handling companies already operate at Ben-Gurion, with prices at an all time low. Aerohandling will also bid for contracts outside Israel.
Ties between Iberia and the Bedek date back to 1988, when the Spanish carrier signed a contract to maintain its aircraft at the Israeli company's facilities.
