The Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau has ordered two AgustaWestland AW139 helicopters, which will be used for law enforcement, search and rescue, and fire fighting.
AgustaWestland helicopters are used by a number of law-enforcement operators throughout China, including those in the provinces of Shenzhen, Nanning, Zhengzhou, Dalian, and Zhejiang, said the company in a statement.
AgustaWestland estimates its market share at over 70% in China's law-enforcement helicopter market. It has sold over 40 helicopters in China to a range of different operators.
