Biman Bangladesh Airlines has issued a bid tender for the repair and overhaul of 12 of its GE Aviation CF6-50C2 engines that are installed on its McDonnell Douglas DC-10 aircraft.
In addition, Biman is looking to conduct repair and overhaul works on its two spare CF6-50C2 engines.
Biman's repair and overhaul contract for the CF6-50C2 engines will be for three years. Biman said it will only accept bids from companies that have successfully completed repair and overhaul works on at least 10 CF6-50C2 engines.
In addition, Biman said it requires the bidding companies to be able to handle repair and overhaul work on at least 15 CF6-50C2 engines.
The bidding companies must have conducted repair and overhaul works on CF6-50C2 engines for at least three years.
Biman said it will not accept bidders from a joint venture, a consortium or an association.
Bidders have to submit a hard copy format of their documents by 6 September 13:00 Bangladesh time (08:00 GMT).
Biman will open the bids on the same day at 14:30 Bangladesh time (09:30 GMT).
Biman operates four DC-10 aircraft, with registration numbers S2-ACR, S2-ACO, S2-ACP and S2-ACQ.
