Boeing and the University of Tokyo have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on technology projects.
Researchers from both parties will explore opportunities to collaborate in areas such as robotics and technology related to modeling and simulation, say Boeing and the university.
"We are reaching out globally to find the best talent and technologies that can be used in aerospace applications. We are very much looking forward to working with the University of Tokyo to not only help us meet the challenges of the future, but also to shape the future," says Boeing Research & Technology VP Matthew Ganz.
The university's managing director and executive VP Yoichiro Matsumoto says: "Our university, with talent and expertise in various research fields, hopes to jointly develop research projects with Boeing that will cultivate knowledge and make a contribution to society."
