Boeing fell short of its commercial aircraft orders goal for 2016, and booked a hundred fewer than in 2015.
The US airframer has disclosed that it booked 668 net orders in 2016. A target of about 740 had been set for the year. At list prices, the 668 net orders are valued at about $94.1 billion.
Boeing meanwhile delivered 748 commercial jets last year, within the range of its earlier forecast of 745-750 deliveries.
The manufacturer's backlog stood at 5,715 orders as of the end of 2016, it says.
In 2016, Boeing booked 550 net orders for the 737 family, of which 534 were for the re-engined 737 Max. It also won orders for 17 747s, 26 767s, 17 777s and 58 787s.
During the year, 180 orders were cancelled comprising 151 737s, one 747, six 777s and 22 787s.
On the deliveries front, the airframer handed over 490 737s, nine 747s, 13 767s, 99 777s and 137 787s.
