Boeing’s board has named Leanne Caret to succeed Chris Chadwick as the head of its Defense, Space & Security business.
Caret will assume the role of president and chief executive of the unit from 1 March, says Boeing in a statement. Chadwick is retiring after 34 years at the company.
Caret has worked with Boeing for 28 years. She now leads the company’s Global Services & Support business.
"Leanne has a track record of delivering results, an intense customer focus, and the global acumen necessary to build on the existing strengths of our defense, space and security business and grow it for the future," says Boeing chairman, president and chief executive Dennis Muilenburg.
"She also is an experienced and inspirational leader who understands all aspects of our business, operates with a One Boeing perspective and has the trust and respect of our employees and our external stakeholders.”
Ed Dolanski will succeed Caret as president of Boeing’s Global Services & Support business.
