Bombardier has received European Joint Aviation Authorities certification for the CRJ900 regional jet. The 86-seat aircraft, the newest and largest model in the Canadian manufacturer's regional jet line-up, was awarded US Federal Aviation Administration certification last October, following original validation from Transport Canada in September. Launch customer Mesa Air Group is scheduled to take delivery of the first of 25 CRJ900s this month and the aircraft are set to enter service under the America West Express regional airline brand during the first quarter.
