Bombardier has received a $300 million order for eight Global business jets from an undisclosed customer. The contract consists of four long-range Global 6000s and the same number of ultra-long-range Global 8000s.
The deal coincides with the inauguration in Moscow of the Canadian airframer's new Regional Support Office - its 11th outside North America. The base will provide aftermarket assistance to Bombardier's growing number of business and commercial aircraft customers in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
"Over the next 20 years, our 2012 Market Forecast estimates industry deliveries of 1,550 business aircraft to Russia and the CIS countries," Bombardier says. "This location will strengthen the support presence on ground [and signals] to existing and potential customers our commitment to building lasting relationships."
