British Midland (BM) has selected Matsushita's new-generation System 3000 interactive in-flight entertainment (IFE) system for its four Airbus A330-200s which will be used for the carrier's long-haul services. The first three 244-seaters, featuring seatback IFE throughout, are due for delivery next year. BM is one of around 15 carriers which have ordered the new System 3000. These include Air Canada, Cathay Pacific, All Nippon Airways, China Airlines, Continental Airlines, El Al, Korean Airlines, Sabena, Singapore Airlines, Swissair and Virgin.
