PRIVAT 767

Swiss business aviation services provider PrivatAir has ordered a Boeing 767 to exploit the growth in large-jet transport. The 56-seat aircraft, in first-class, flat-bed airline configuration, will replace PrivatAir's Boeing Business Jet and will complement its heavily used 49-seat VIP 757. The 767 will serve as an interim aircraft as the Geneva-based operator is poised to acquire a larger Airbus A350 or Boeing 787 for delivery early in the next decade.

JAVELIN DISPLAY

Aviation Technology Group has redesigned the cockpit of its Javelin very light jet, moving from two to three displays and from a sidestick to a centre stick. Three side-by-side 5 x 7in (125 x 180mm) displays are standard, with a head-up display available as an option. Canopy sill height has been reduced.

HAWKER SIMULATOR

Flight Safety International has received European approval for the Hawker 800XP full-flight simulator at its Farnborough training centre in the UK. Hawker 400XP and 850XP simulators will be added later this year, as well as a Cessna Citation Excel machine. Simulators for the Citation Mustang very-light jet and Sikorsky S-92 helicopter will be added next year.
