PASSENGER FIRST

The Qatar government is believed to be the first customer for the Intercontinental passenger version of the Boeing 747-8, with an order for one VIP aircraft, to enter service in 2010.

ACJ ORDER

Austrian investment company Stumpf Group has ordered an Airbus Corporate Jetliner. The CFM International CFM56-5- powered aircraft will be used for executive transport.

EPIC MEDIATION

UK start-up manufacturer Farn­borough Aircraft and US firm Aircraft Investor Resources (AIR) have begun arbitration in the USA in an attempt to settle a legal dispute over a collapsed manufacturing joint venture to develop their respective F1 Kestrel and Epic LT turboprop singles. The hearing, in Duluth, Minnesota, is set to conclude by the end of the month.

LABINAL WIRED

Labinal is to manufacture aircraft electrical completion harnesses for the Dassault Falcon 900 and 2000. The harnesses will be produced in Pryor, Oklahoma and delivered to the Dassault Falcon jet completion centre in Little Rock, Arkansas.

CHARTER KING

King Rotors launched a helicopter charter service on 15 June serving destinations within the state of Kerala in southern India. One helicopter will initially operate between Kovalam and Kumarakom. New aircraft and services will be added as demand dictates, says the Kerala State Tourism Department.
