HAL package deal
Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) has signed a deal with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) to supply component packages for the Gulfstream G150 mid-size business jet. Under the terms of the deal, HAL will supply 25 packages, equivalent to around a year's production.
Full spectrum
Spectrum Aeronautical has received Organisational Designated Airworthiness Representative status with the US Federal Aviation Administration, allowing it to perform in-house airworthiness inspections of the two business jets it has under development. Spectrum says the responsibility came earlier in the aircraft development process than usual.
New York shuttle
US Helicopter has added Continental Airlines to its New York shuttle service. The service, which began on 18 December, operates eight-seat Sikorsky S-76s from US Helicopter's Manhattan heliport base, near Wall Street, to Continental's New York hub in Newark.
