AMAC MILESTONE

AMAC Aerospace has rolled out its first Airbus A320 for a head of state in the Middle East and has set to work on an A319 for another client. The A320 is in full VIP configuration, with 48 seats, a bedroom, shower and cabin entertainment system including audio and video on demand, wireless LAN and satellite communications. The A320 took around nine months to complete, says AMAC.


EXECUTIVE TERMINAL

Berlin Airports has appointed ExecuJet Europe to manage the business and general aviation terminal at it Schönefeld - soon to be renamed Brandenburg International - site. ExecuJet says it will offer exclusive VIP passenger handling for all arriving and departing business aircraft, The Zurich, Switzerland-headquartered company has run a fixed-base operation at the airport since 2008.


COPTER SALE

Finnish helicopter operator Copterline has sold two AgustaWestland AW139s to US operator Petroleum Helicopters. The 2008-built, medium twin-engined helicopters, which served on Helsinki-based Copterline's now defunct scheduled helicopter service, were sold through UK aircraft consultancy International Bureau of Aviation. The aircraft will be used for offshore transport.


PAWAN APPROVAL

Mumbai based Indian shipping operator SKS Logistics is planning to establish a helicopter charter operation in March and is in negotiations with Robinson Helicopter to acquire three of its aircraft. Trading under the brand SKS brand, the company says it will focus initially on the tourism market in the east of the country initially. Meanwhile, India's state-owned helicopter charter company Pawan Hans Helicopter has signed an agreement with the Indian postal department to provide air transport services within the country. The contract comes as the Indian government approves the purchase by Pawan of seven Eurocopter AS365N3 Dauphin helicopters to help support the company's offshore operations.
