Lufthansa Technik has obtained Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) approval to operate as a maintenance station for the Airbus Corporate Jets ACJ319 aircraft.
The company can now perform line and heavy maintenance on ACJ319s operating under China's B- registry, says the MRO provider.
The company adds that a B-registered ACJ319 is already undergoing a 6-year check at Lufthansa Technik's facility in Hamburg.
"Besides maintenance, the aircraft will receive a comprehensive cabin refurbishment to give the aircraft a new and fresh appeal after six years of operations," says Lufthansa Technik.
This check requires that the aircraft's entire VIP interior be removed and reinstalled.
Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that there are two B- registered A319s used as business jets. One is a 6.6 year-old example operated by Deer Jet, the other a 5.3 year-old example operated by Beijing Airlines.
