Daher has appointed its first sales representative in India, as part of a drive to build a fleet of TBM 910/930 single-engined turboprops across the vast country.
New Delhi-headquartered business and general aviation aircraft services company SRK Aviacom will partner with Daher to spearhead the sales and marketing effort for the latter's high-speed, six-seat pair.
The French airframer says it sees “an emerging demand” for the aircraft in India; Flight Fleets Analyzers records that no TBMs are presently operated in the country.
Aviacom already has training interests which support its vision of increasing the number of Indian aviators. “By introducing the TBM family we aim to go one step further by offering this cost-effective, corporate aircraft for Indian businesses and entrepreneurs,” it says.
The $3.9 million TBM 910 and $4.1 million TBM 930 were introduced April 2017 and March 2016, respectively, as the latest iterations of the 28-year-old TBM family. Last year, Daher shipped 57 examples, marking the second-highest annual output for the TBM programme since its 2008 peak of 62 deliveries.
Nearly 880 TBMs, covering 700-, 850- and 900-series aircraft, have been delivered worldwide to date, Daher says.
