Fractional operator Flexjet has signed a $7 billion purchase agreement with Embraer covering the Brazilian airframer’s Praetor 600, Praetor 500 and Phenom 300E business jets.
No details of the order breakdown were disclosed, but it comprises a total 182 firm orders, plus 30 options, alongside an enhanced package of services and support.
The agreement will see Flexjet’s fleet double over the next five years.
Flexjet says it is the largest commitment in its 30-year history and also the biggest ever firm order for Embraer executive jets.
Flexjet is already a customer for the Praetor pair – placing an order in 2019 – but the latest agreement will see it also introduce the Phenom 300E, the latest version of Embraer’s best-selling light jet.
