Boeing Business Jets has unveiled a radical interior concept at NBAA dubbed “Genesis”, which is being offered on for the BBJ Max series.
Created by aviation design company SkyStyle, the Genesis concept is SkyStyle’s debut design for the BBJ Max.
BBJ says Genesis draws inspiration from “nature's tranquillity, its voluminous clouds hanging over a white sand beach, smooth rolling hills and a starry night sky”.
“There are different styles with the ceiling so you won’t feel like you’re stuffed in a subway tube on this airplane like you do on a lot of other airplanes or even some of our previous concepts with straight valances that go all the way back,” says BBJ director of marketing, Alex Fecteau.
"From an aviation designer's perspective, the BBJ Max is incredibly appealing because there is so much more interior space to realise one's vision," said SkyStyle's Max Pardo. "And since the Max flies ultra-long distances, the owners are looking for a comfortable lounge, multi-function conference area and a large master suite to ensure the ultimate flight experience."
The initial concept has been based on the BBJ Max 7 platform, which is the last of the Max versions to enter service, in 2021. However the interior can be adapted for the larger Max 8 and Max 9 variants, so could be delivered earlier should a customer select it.
