Taiwan's China Airlines (CAL) plans to order 12 Airbus A330-300s, six Boeing 747-400s and four 747-400F freighters as part of a plan to increase capacity and simplify its fleet. The A330s are due between 2004 and 2007 and will replace 12 A300-600Rs. CAL's 747-400 passenger fleet will grow to 19 when the additional six are delivered later this decade, while the 747-400Fs will replace four -200Fs.
