Canadian regional West Wind Aviation is growing its fleet of ATR 42 aircraft, and has contracted ExelTech Aerospace to provide heavy maintenance support for the turboprops.
The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan-based carrier last month “acquired another ATR”, ExelTech reveals in a statement. It says the aircraft has already entered heavy maintenance at ExelTech’s ATR maintenance facility at Montreal Pierre-Elliott Trudeau International Airport.
The 13-month contract includes options for renewal on an annual basis.
“We have worked with West Wind since the airline acquired its first ATR in 2002 and we are proud to be contributing to their success,” says ExelTech VP, maintenance and operations Serge Bourbonnais.
Adds West Wind director of maintenance Don Cumming: “West Wind is very happy with the quality of service that ExelTech Aerospace provides us. We look forward to continuing and growing our relationship with ExelTech Aerospace.”
According to Flight’s ACAS database, West Wind’s fleet currently comprises three ATR 42s (all owned by the carrier), two Raytheon Beech 1900Cs and five Beechcraft King Air family aircraft.
