Cathay Pacific Airways is pushing back by a year the launch of non-stop transpolar flights between Hong Kong and New York due to its ongoing labour dispute and the deteriorating economic outlook. Cathay says an earlier announcement by United Airlines that it is dropping its non-stop transpolar New York-Hong Kong service due to poor loads did not contribute to its decision.
