AlliedSignal announced at the show yesterday that it had been selected to supply auxiliary power unit (APU) maintenance for Cathay Pacific's fleet of Airbus A330, A340 and Boeing 777 aircraft.

Speaking at the show, Tom Johnson, AlliedSignal engines & systems vice-president, commercial auxiliary power, said: "From our Singapore repair centre, we will be able fully to support and maintain the 75 APUs covered under this agreement."

Cathay Pacific engineering director Derek Cridland said: "We believe AlliedSignal's worldwide maintenance support will be a competitive asset in today's aerospace environment."
