Cessna has issued a service bulletin to hundreds of piston-single aircraft customers ordering an airframe logbook check for any one of 30 faulty fuel-selector valves shipped as replacement parts last year and early this year. The US Federal Aviation Administration plans to follow this with an airworthiness directive. The Washington-based association has also ordered an inspection of the wings on all Cessna 402C twin-engined aircraft with more than 10,000h of flying time, following the fatal crash of a 402C in April.
