Singapore's Changi Airport posted a 6% increase in passenger traffic in September to arrest several months of decline in 2009.

The airport's passenger numbers were 3.06 million in September, up from 2.89 million a year before. Aircraft movements increased by 5.8% 20,115, says the Changi Airport Group.

Air freight movements continued with their fall in September, dropping 12.5% to 140,790t. This, however, was the lowest fall for the year.
