China Eastern Airlines has signed a memorandum of understanding with local GDS supplier TravelSky Technologies on a new generation passenger service system (PSS).
The agreement follows three years of evaluation between the two and under the deal will see the two parties expand their co-operation on the new generation PSS over the next five years.
TravelSky formally initiated its new generation PSS project in 2011. It has built the technology platform and the core functionality is moving gradually to the open system. It says the MoU with China Eastern will "deepen their partnership, influence the internationalisation of Chinese airlines and help with TravelSky’s PSS internationalisation strategy".
