Australian aircraft sales and aviation services company Hawker Pacific is in talks with Chinese partners to set up a fixed-base operation (FBO) in China. This follows the success of Hawker Pacific's Sydney FBO, which has seen aircraft movements grow from eight to 200 a month over two years, says chief executive Alan Smith.

Smith declines to reveal the Chinese partners or the possible location for the FBO, but says a market evaluation is under way. If a positive decision is made, the Chinese FBO could be up and running within 12 months.
