The opening ceremony for Hamilton Sundstrand's new Chinese joint venture, with Shaanxi Qinling Aerolectric, will be held later this week in Xiamen.

An equity joint venture, Xiamen Sundstrand Qinling Aerospace will provide airlines in China with complete overhaul and repair services for Hamilton Sundstrand electric power systems. The majority of Boeing (including McDonnell Douglas) and Airbus Industrie aircraft in China are equipped with Hamilton Sundstrand electric power systems.

The JV's new 2,600 sq m premises is located in the Aviation City Industrial Complex in Xiamen and it's intended to increase the size of the unit to 4,200 sq m over the next few years to support continuing airline growth and increasing customer support needs in China.
