China Southern Airlines has confirmed plans to start five additional new services during the summer schedule, which begins on 30 March.
The carrier says it will begin thrice weekly Zhengzhou-Jeju and four times weekly Shenzhen-Phuket service on 30 March. This will be followed by Shenzhen-Jeju on 2 April and Changsha-Jeju on 1 May, which will both be operated twice weekly.
The launch of thrice weekly Guangzhou-Changsha-Frankfurt services will also take place on 20 June, while the resumption of twice weekly Changhsa-Phuket services will occur on 2 July.
Its Urumqi-Tehran service will increase from once to three times weekly on 25 March, while the once weekly Urumqi-Tashkent service will be upgaugued from Boeing 757-200s to 777-200s.
China Southern will also raise frequency on 10 services, beginning from 30 March.
The Dalian-Jeju service will be doubled to four times weekly, with the Nanning-Singapore service will also double to six times weekly. Its Zhengzhou-Seoul Incheon route will see a third weekly frequency added; Urumqi-Islamabad will go from three to five times weekly; and the Shenzhen-Denpasar service will go up from two to five times weekly.
The Dalian-Osaka Kansai service will have a fifth weekly frequency added on 30 March, before being raised to a daily service from 1 July. Its Guangzhou-Phuket services will also rise gradually from from three to six times weekly by 30 July.
On the Guangzhou-Denpasar route, frequencies will go from three to four times weekly on 28 April and to a daily service by 19 July. A third weekly frequency will be introduced on the Guangzhou-Fukuoka service on 30 June, while a fifth weekly Shenyang-Osaka Kansai service will be added on 15 July.
Capacity on the Guangzhou-New Delhi service will be downsized by changing the operating aircraft from a 757 to a 737-700, the airline adds.
