China Southern Airlines and its subsidiary carriers have gained exclusive use to Xian airport’s terminal one, making it the third airport terminal in China that the China Southern Airlines group has exclusivity over.

The carrier says in a statement that it and its subsidiary carriers recently moved into and gained exclusive use of terminal one at Xian’s Xianyang International Airport, which is located in western China.

It says terminal one is a new terminal and that the other carriers serving Xian use terminal two.

The move to the new terminal is expected “to significantly alleviate passenger congestion at terminal two,” it adds.

China Southern Airlines, and its subsidiary carriers such as Xiamen Airlines, also have exclusive use of terminal one at Beijing Capital International Airport and exclusive use of a terminal at Guangzhou’s New Baiyun International Airport.
