China Southern Airlines has agreed to acquire 45 additional Boeing 737s, including 15 for its Xiamen Airlines subsidiary. The carrier says it forged an acquisition agreement at the end of last month covering 12 further 737-700s and 33 more 737-800s for delivery from 2006-8. All 12 of the -700s and 18 of the -800s will be operated by Guangzhou-based China Southern, with 15 -800s to be operated by Xiamen.
