All 42 people on board a Wuhan Airlines Xian Y7-100C were killed when the aircraft crashed on approach to the Chinese city of Wuhan's regional airport. The approach took place in storms at 15:00 local time on 22 June, with some local eyewitnesses claiming the aircraft had been struck by lightning. Wuhan Airlines operates four of the twin turboprop Y7-100Cs, all built between 1990 and 1993.
