Shanghai-based Great Wall Airlines has appointed Singapore Airlines Cargo executive Kuah Boon Kiam as its new president.
Kuah, 38, will take over from Tan Kaiping on 1 October, the dedicated cargo carrier said in a statement on Friday. He is now SIA Cargo's regional vice-president for West Asia and Africa, and was previously its manager for India and Nepal.
Great Wall is a joint venture between Singapore Airlines Cargo, Singapore-based investment company Dahlia Investments and Beijing Aerospace Satellite Applications. It offers freight services from Chinese cities like Shanghai and Tianjin to Europe and the USA. It operates three Boeing 747-400Fs and plans to add a fourth this year.
