Flight International online news 14:30 GMT: US lessor CIT Aerospace has signed a purchase agreement with Airbus for five A350s and 24 A320 family aircraft.
The lessor will take delivery of the A320 family aircraft in 2007 and 2008. Deliveries of the five A350-800s are scheduled for 2012 and 2013. CIT says it also has options to acquire additional aircraft.
CIT says it has seen significant improvement in the outlook for the international commercial aerospace sector with demand for new aircraft growing and rental rates “rebounding nicely.”
Airbus says the CIT selection takes customer commitments for the A350 to 130.
