A private Cessna Citation 501 business jet (N452TS) crashed on final approach to runway 22 at Trier-Föhren airport, Germany on 12 January.

The aircraft, inbound from Shoreham, England, is believed to have hit an electricity pylon in poor visibility about 4km (3 miles) short of the runway threshold and significantly left of the extended centreline.
The Citation came to rest inverted in a flat, unpopulated area and caught fire. All four people on board died in the accident. It was daylight, and visibility was about 350m in fog with very little wind.
