A unit of UTC Aerospace Systems has released a shortwave infrared (SWIR) camera for the unmanned air vehicle and industrial inspection markets.
The Micro 320CSX joins a product line-up by Sensors Unlimited that includes a military SWIR camera.
But the Micro 320CSX is being offered with no export restrictions imposed by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), says Brendan Murphy, a Sensors Unlimited account manager.
The 320p by 256p sensor is being offered for small UAV applications with a 1.7W continuous power draw.
The sensor includes automatic gain control to optimize the camera’s imagery in real-time.
