A French court has chosen property and luxury clothing group Alain Duménil to take over regional airline Air Littoral, which has been in receivership since August 2003. The group will make an immediate investment of €7.5 million ($9.3 million) and a further €15 million over the next three years. It plans to lay off 152 of Air Littoral's 444 staff and will keep 10 of the 17 aircraft, says the group's lawyer Jean-Marc Sanchez. The group is not taking over Air Littoral's maintenance subsidiary Air Littoral Industrie.
