Canadian completions specialist Flying Colours has completed and delivered its first turboprop modification on behalf of US engineering specialist Blackhawk.
The achievement comes less than six months after Blackhawk appointed the company, which has its headquarters in Peterborough, Ontario, to perform its XP 135A engine upgrade, installation and servicing for turboprop owners and operators.
The privately owned Beechcraft King Air C90 underwent a series of maintenance, avionics and interior modifications at Flying Colours' facility. Blackhawk's XP 135A engine upgrade boosts the aircraft range, speed and rate of climb. A number of interior modifications were also made alongside the external work.
Flying Colours and Blackhawk are negotiating and finalising future Blackhawk modifications and completions.
