Concorde F-BTSD's final landing - it is being handed over to the Musee de l'Air - was part of a special flying display for the President when he toured the show yesterday morning. Hospitality chalet balconies were packed with spectators who gave an impromptu round of applause as the aircraft touched down in front of the President's podium.

The display also included a flyby performed by the Patrouille de France, the aerobatic team of the French Air Force, as well as flights by the Airbus A340-600 and A318.

President Chirac was greeted on arrival by GIFAS chairman Philippe Camus as well as show organiser Yves Bonnet. He was then taken on a two-hour tour of the show site before enjoying the flying display.
