Continental Airlines will recall at least 240 pilots from furlough by the middle of spring 2005 under an agreement with its union. Continental has recalled 197 pilots this year, and 436 pilots were still on furlough in August. About 30 pilots are expected to be recalled a month, the maximum that the airline can requalify at its training facilities.
