■ Airflite will provide continued maintenance services to the Royal Australian Air Force’s Pilatus PC-9/A primary trainer fleet until 2012 under a A$114 million ($86.2 million) contract. The company will train up to 52 new aircraft apprentices at RAAF bases East Sale, Victoria, and Pearce, Western Australia.
■ Lockheed Martin is to demonstrate a three-dimensional imaging laser radar sensor, which could be installed on a General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Predator unmanned air vehicle under a three-year US Air Force contract worth $7.8 million.
■ MASS is to conduct a secure communications management upgrade to the UK Royal Air Force’s three British Aerospace Nimrod R1 electronic intelligence aircraft under a deal worth £9 million ($16.7 million). The work will include the addition of new UHF radios.
