Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space Operations has won a $25.5 million contract to change the test missile kit for the US Navy's Trident D5 submarine-launched ballistic missiles. The contract runs to 2004. Skyhook Technologies is to supply 100 kits for the installation of full-authority digital engine control on US Army Boeing CH-47D Chinooks under a $7.2 million contract. Northrop Grumman is to provide kits to modify two US Air Force TPS-75 tactical radars to track theatre ballistic missiles under a $12.1 million contract. Elbit Systems' Elop division has won a $5.8 million contract to supply 48 laser designator systems for the US Navy's Raytheon Nite Hawk targeting pod used on Boeing F/A-18 Hornets. Innovative Solutions & Support has received a follow-on order worth $19.7 million to supply reduced vertical-separation minimum-compliant air data instrumentation for retrofit to US Air Force Boeing KC-135 tankers. Hamilton Sundstrand has been selected to replace the Lockheed C-5's twin auxiliary power units with its APS3400.
