The Royal Air Force of Oman has selected the General Electric F110 engine for 12 Lockheed Martin F-16C/Ds on order. The deal is worth $50million to GE. The DGA, France's defence procurement agency, has awarded Alcatel Space a contract for the design of the SSO surveillance ground segment architecture. SSO will control all French military satellites, including the Helios system, the German Sar Lupe and the French/Italian Cosmo-Skymed/Pleides. CAE has received defence contracts worth C$22 million ($13.9million). The US Coast Guard has selected CAE to provide Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules training for five years, while the German air force has extended a deal by a year to supply on-site maintenance for 18 flight simulators. Lockheed Martin has received a $102 million contract for 7,195 wind-corrected munitions dispenser tail kits for weapons to arm the Lockheed Martin F-16 and Boeing B-52. The Belgian air force has ordered from Union Industries 37 LASAR (Limited Authority Spark Advance Regulator) digital piston engine control systems for its Aermacchi SF260 elementary trainers. Boeing has received a $134 million contract for F-15 Eagle radar upgrades. The money covers 34 Raytheon APG-63(V)1s radars. General Dynamics has been awarded a $9.3 million contract for 182 M61A1 20mm (0.8in) aircraft cannons from the US Air Force's Warner Robins Logistics Center, Georgia. Virtually every fighter aircraft built by the USA is equipped with the cannon. Raytheon has been awarded a $10 million US Navy contract to repair APN-124 systems on Sikorsky H-60 series helicopters, and to maintain the AAS-36 forward-looking infrared system on Lockheed Martin P-3COrion maritime patrol aircraft. Northrop Grumman has received a $38.4 million USAF order for a further Lot XI E-8 Joint Surveillance Target attack Radar System air-to-ground surveillance aircraft.
