Coriolis Delivery

Spectrum Astro has shipped the Coriolis spacecraft bus to the US Naval Research Laboratory for final integration and testing of its WindSat payload. The satellite will then be shipped to Vandenberg AFB, California, for a Titan II SLV launch in mid-2002. The 340kg (750lb) WindSat will measure ocean surface wind vector, and another instrument will monitor solar activity.
