Lufthansa Technik (LHT) has landed an order to complete cabin interiors for two Boeing Business Jets (BBJs) and a Boeing 777-200. The deal is with an unnamed Saudi Arabian customer.

LHT offers business aircraft users a turnkey concept which it calls XXL Class to customise either of two basic aircraft - the Boeing BBJ 737-700 or the Airbus A319 corporate jet.

The company says the aircraft can be configured as a flying office, airborne apartment or hotel suite, whether for VIPs or as a corporate shuttle.

"We've converted most of the standard Boeing and Airbus models into VIP aircraft," says Jurgen Wilken, LHT's senior vice president for marketing and sales, "but the triple seven is still a real challenge for us, especially in view of the owner's challenging timeframe."
