The Czech Republic's presence at Dubai '97 includes four companies which are still relative newcomers to the aerospace industry, a sure sign of the economic

changes which are sweeping the republic, according to the delegation here.

Jan Hajny, director of the Czech participation, says there is no better place than the airshow for studying, evaluating and seeking new business opportunities in the

Middle East.

Aero Vodochody is the republic's largest aerospace company, specialising in the manufacture of military jet trainers.

Second on the list is Lok Kbely which boasts a significant aircraft repair and maintenance plant.

Czech Aircraft Works is a new private company established by Canadian light aircraft manu-facturer Zenair, while Prague-based Aero Trade's main field of

business is the import and export of aircraft components and spare parts.

The final two members of the delegation are publisher Idet News and defence video specialist Eso Video. Meet the team at stand C120.
