Switzerland's Comlux and China's Deer Jet have signed an agreement to jointly develop VIP charter markets in Asia and Europe.

The agreement will allow the two charter operators to draw on each other's fleets and know-how, say the two companies. "With their respective aircraft families, the two parties are now providing their clients with a unique and complete VIP fleet of aircraft, able to answer to any kind of mission requirement," they add.

Under the agreement, Comlux will leverage Deer Jet's base in Beijing, using its knowledge of the Chinese market as well as its growing fleet of 24 owned and managed aircraft including a Boeing Business Jet, and VIP-configured A319, three Gulfstream G550s, one Hawker 900XP and a Hawker 4000.

Deer Jet expects to boost its fleet to 35 business aircraft by the end of the year including its first Airbus Corporate Jetliner.

"We are already operating the largest VIP fleet in China," says Deer Jet chief executive Zhang Kui. "We are confident that this agreement with Comlux will strongly develop our market position and our customer base."

Comlux, which has a facility in Kazakhstan, will offer a bridge between Europe and China. "Comlux will be more reactive on the Asian charter demand and we will be able to reduce positioning costs," it says.

Comlux's fleet of business aircraft includes five Bombardier Global Express and two Airbus Corporate Jetliners.
