Cessna has delivered a pair of new 208 Grand Caravan EX utility aircraft for use by the Paraguayan air force.
“The United Nations Office for Project Services managed the acquisition process, in an agreement financed by ITAIPU Binacional to increase the current response capacity of the Paraguayan air force to deliver humanitarian efforts in emergency contexts,” says Cessna parent Textron Aviation.
Carrying the registrations 0253 and 0254, the single-engined transports have joined a trio of Grand Caravans already operated by the service, which Cirium fleets data shows are aged between nine and 11 years.
“The Grand Caravan EX serves an enduring mission by providing humanitarian, transport and medical evacuation operations in Paraguay,” says Bob Gibbs, vice-president, special mission sales for Textron Aviation.
