Delta Air Lines will launch new service between New York JFK and Zurich, and increase service on routes to Amsterdam, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Rome later in 2014.
The new JFK-Zurich flight will operate once daily on a Boeing 767-300ER from 16 June, according to the Atlanta-based SkyTeam alliance carrier.
Delta will also expand its existing seasonal JFK-Rome flight to nearly year-round service with a hiatus during only January and February in 2015. The flight will be operated once daily on an Airbus A330-300 from April to October and five-times weekly on a 767-300ER in November, December and March.
The airline and its joint venture partner KLM will also add a fourth daily flight to their respective Atlanta-Paris Charles de Gaulle and Atlanta-Amsterdam routes. Both flights will operate under their metal neutral joint venture that also includes Air France and Alitalia.

"Delivering more hub-to-hub flying provides a network with higher frequencies and tailored schedules for our trans-Atlantic travellers.”
American Airlines, Edelweiss Air and Swiss fly between New York JFK and Zurich, while Alitalia flies between JFK and Rome, Innovata schedules show.
